4 Tips to Lose Fat & Get Fit
Diet, Diet, Diet- This is the key to successful weight loss. The better foods you eat will help you burn those extra pounds. Have a clean diet full of lean protein sources, as well as healthy fats, and carbohydrates. Lean protein sources can be chicken, fish, turkey, tofu, eggs, and extra lean cuts of beef. Many people think a low-fat diet should be a no-fat diet, but you actually need to include fats in your diet to be healthy and for your body to function efficiently. The best kind of fats are polyunsaturated fats which can be found in plants. Some foods that contain these healthy fats are nuts and seeds. For your carbohydrates try eating whole grains along with fresh fruits & vegetables. Stay away from highly processed foods and sugary fruit drinks. Another thing to be aware of is portion sizes and food labels. Make sure you are not eating bigger portions than the recommended sizes. Unless a food is going to help you look leaner and better, don't eat it. If you just need to have it try to include it into your cheat meal for the week.
Planning is the key to success: If you want to stick to your diet, you must plan ahead. If you don't have your foods with you, chances are you will get extremely hungry and end up in the drive-thru. To prevent this, have all your meals prepared in advance so that you can just take it with you in the morning and start your day. If you always have them available, you won't be making any poor food choices and you'll stay on track with your diet. Another strategy is to plan when you will be eating your meals even if you have to set an alarm to remind you to eat.
