some tips that will help you get the body you've always wanted. Earn your body with my 5 Do's of Getting Fit:
Do eat clean: Eating clean is not only good for your health, it also brings great benefits for your body. If you want to look lean and fit, keep your diet as clean as possible. Make sure you keep high fatty foods to a limited amount in your daily diet or remove them completely! People think that eating clean means you will end up spending more money at the grocery store, but I can assure you that each dollar you spend is an investment to a newer healthier you! Do get adequate rest: Rest is one of the most important factors of a successful plan. There are many people out there who are obsessed with working out and spend days and hours in the gym and wonder why they aren't getting the results they expect. You need a day or two dedicated for resting. Resting not only feels great, but it also helps to repair and rejuvenate your muscle cells and your body. The repairing of your muscles is what helps them to grow harder and stronger. Learn more about the benefits of resting and sleeping here.
Do have a plan: I hate going to the gym and watching people walk around aimlessly not knowing what they are going to do. They walk to each machine, look at it, read the description, then go to the next and the next. They eventually find something that they want to do, but in the process they wasted about 15 minutes. To minimize this create a workout plan or hire a personal trainer to do one for you. This way you will go to the gym, have a plan and be more productive. If you don't have time to plan ahead try to visualize the gym while you're on your way. Think of what you plan to do first, second, etc. Then when you get there do it. Also keep in mind that others may want to do the same thing, so be sure to have alternate options. To learn about spending less time in the gym and getting the most out of your workout read here.
Do you cardio: Many guys come to me saying that they are eating clean, and working out consistently but they just can't seem to lose fat in some areas. Then I ask them "are you doing your cardio?" The answer is usually no. Then I say well that's your problem. If you want to lose fat, lifting weights and eating clean is only part of the equation. You still have to burn additional calories every day. Incorporating cardio into your training program will help you burn extra calories. Keep in mind that 1 pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories. So if you are consuming a surplus of calories try to cut them down by 500 per day which equals 3500 a week. Along with the cardio and weight training you will get the body you desire. There are many other reasons to do cardio which are explained here.
Do Visualize Success: You can look in the mirror all day long but trust me nothing will change in the course of a week. Changes in body composition take time and this can be frustrating. Many people tend to give up if they don't see the results they want in the beginning and then go back to the their poor eating habits and non-healthy lifestyle. Take notes of your strength each week, if you could only do 2 pullups last week and now you can do three, that is a sign that you are getting stronger. Work hard and the more that you visualize success, the harder it will be to fail.
Now you have been given 5 helpful tips to start the journey to your fit body. Follow them and everyone around you will start noticing the changes in your physique. You'll love the results that you've earned. Remember it is never too late to get fit, there are no excuses!
